JaimeSteveGA Solutions Principal Jaime Steve has been lobbying on behalf of energy and telecom firms in Washington, D.C., for more than 25 years. Jaime is a graduate of Cornell University and the New York Law School. Over the course of his career, he served as legislative director for the American Wind Energy Association for 12 years and spent another seven representing energy companies on Capitol Hill. The Hill newspaper recognized Steve as one of the “50 Best Business Lobbyists on Capitol Hill.” A large focus of his work involved working with House and Senate tax committees to fashion and extend energy tax credits. He also handled energy development and wildlife interaction issues on private lands, federal lands, and in offshore areas.
 

Previously, he served as an attorney for New York City’s Department of Telecommunications and Energy, handling utility rate-setting cases before state administrative law judges. This role also encompassed serving as an energy policy advisor to the mayor’s office. Prior to attending law school, Steve worked for the U.S. Congress as a specialist on environmental and energy issues, ranging from clean water legislation and clean air regulations to electric industry restructuring. He also worked as a reporter covering environmental and energy issues before Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Jaime is a Virginia resident. He says that he is afflicted with a passion for restoring old British sports cars.
